Coast Customs Dodge Challenger R/T Widebody Convertible

West Coast Customs has released the all new wide body '09 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible. Dodge Challenger R/T Widebody ConvertibleHowever, the owner of the one-off Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible wasn't that keen to keep the car in his possession as he put it up for sale on eBay the same day that the show aired on TV... The auction lasted three days with the highest bid being $50,200 and as you may have guessed, the reserve price, which is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for the item, was not met.

Jumbo-sized rear fenders and working power convertible top aside, WCC left their mark on the Challenger R/T with black striping, one-off 24-inch front and 26-inch rear (...) flat black and white Asanti alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli rubber, a new exhaust system, a rear spoiler and blacked out tail lamps. Dodge Challenger R/T Widebody ConvertibleFurthermore, the R/T's interior that retains the five-seat layout of the coupe was upgraded with a two-tone leather trim and a high-end Polk Audio system.

2009 Dodge Challenger SE V6 Rallye

Finally Dodge has released official details and a high-resolution gallery of the newest member in the Challenger SE family, the Rallye Edition with the rest of the updated 250HP 3.5-liter V6-powered SEs that receive a five-speed automatic transmission with Auto Stick in place of the previous 4-speed auto box. As we informed you this past weekend, the Rallye package consists of exterior and interior cosmetic upgrades.

For the exterior, the Rallye edition adds hood and deck lid dual stripes with accent color outer stripes, 18-inch wheels with black painted pockets, chromed 'FUEL' filler doo, a body-color deck lid spoiler and Micro Carbon interior accents.

Hurst announces pricing, power specs for Hurst/HEMI Challenger


Hurst, makers of those iconic shifters that sat atop four-speed manual transmissions in classic muscle cars, has just announced official pricing for its Hurst/HEMI Challenger that debuted at SEMA in Las Vegas last month. There are several "stages" to allow the customer to choose for. The range kicks off with the Challenger Series 2 R/T, which is listed at $18,350 and pumps the 5.7L HEMI V8 to 352hp (263kW) and 408lb-ft (553Nm) of torque. In addition to the power upgrade, the package also comes with a Hurst ‘Hard-Drive’ shifter, 20in polished and forged wheels, custom graphics and badges, Goodyear Eagle F-1 performance tires, a Magnaflow stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, a K&N air-filter, Eibach coil-over suspension and leather trim.

For owners of the 6.1L Challenger SRT8, Hurst offers a Series 2 package that is listed at $17,450 and boosts output to 437hp (326kW) and 438lb-ft (593Nm) of torque. The rest of the package includes the same items as the Series R/T kit. The next in line is the Series 3 R/T 5.7L HEMI kit at $26,750. The car able to produce 444hp (331kW) and 489lb-ft (662Nm) of torque thanks to the addition of a Vortech supercharger installed at the factory. Adding this package to the 6.1L SRT8 brings up the Series 4 stage, which Hurst is offering at $25,150. Output is rated at 572hp (426kW) and 528lb-ft (715Nm) of torque.

Rounding out the range is the Series 5 SRT8 6.1L package, which sells for $33,150 and features the same output as the Series 4 but gets a few additional goodies such as rear spoiler.
