AVUS Performance Audi RS6 WHITE POWER

Recently, Avus Performance has unveiled the new "WHITE POWER" Audi RS6. The car is essentially an Audi RS6 equipped with Sportec's RS700 kit which includes a new high performance exhaust system, racing catalysts and retuned engine electronics. These improvements create major performance gains as the RS6 boasts 700 bhp and 800 Nm (590 lb/ft) of torque. This enables the White Power to run from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).

Beside the performance, a set of 22" Sportec Mono 10 wheels, lowering springs which reduce the ride height by 40 mm (1.6"), and an optional carbon fiber front-lip spoiler.

Audi RS5 debut in Detroit while RS6 not coming to U.S

According to Audi RS6, the twin-turbocharged V10 sedan won't be coming to the U.S. in its current iteration. The reason is because of too much energy and expense involved in making the V10 powerplant pass the more stringent sniffer standards here in the U.S.

The Audi RS6 project manager- Jens Koch hinted that the RS6's weight problem and 5.0-liter V10 wouldn't carryover to the 2012 model, and that the next RS6 will be more "revolutionary" and "far more RennSport than anything previously developed."

Meanwhile, Audi will debut their RS5 with the next RS4 debuting shortly thereafter.

Audi plans to further its goal of taking on BMW's M division and Mercedes' AMG lineup with more Quattro-branded vehicles positioned above run-of-the-mill Audis, along with more clearly defined R-, S- and RS-derivatives. "S" badged variants will also be sportier than current S models, while the "R" lineup will be "significantly souped-up" and "RS" will be reserved for lightweight, track-friendly models.
