Porsche released 2010 GT3 RS

About weeks time after introduction new turbo, Porsche has released the all new 2010 911 GT3 RS. The car is equipped with a 3.8 liter flat six engine an upgrade from previous model 3.6 liter and the engine now capable to produce 450hp.

Power is channeled via a 6-speed manual transmission with shorter ratios than the one in the regular GT3 and to keep everything manageable, handling has been further improved with a purpose-built PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) suspension, a wider front and rear track made possibly by larger wheel arches. To add to that, the GT3RS’s engine mounts are able to adjust their stiffness and damping effect depending on driving conditions.

For the exterior, the new RS still looks as menacing and purposeful as ever with new graphics, revised front and rear fascias and a new carbon fiber rear wing with aluminium supports. As with previous GT3RS models, lowering weight is a priority and to achieve that, the new GT3 RS gets an optional lithium-ion battery that saves 10kgs over the standard unit. A lightweight titanium exhaust system is also among the measures taken to save weight. As for the pricing, the new GT3RS retails for US$132,800 in the U.S., expect that to be much higher here. The official introduction is to happen at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Meanwhile, read what Porsche has to say bout its latest baby, below is the official press release from Porsche.
